1. Regulatory Overview

In compliance with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR, 2018), all commercial SMS, voice broadcasts, and promotional communications sent via telecom networks in India must be registered on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platforms.

2. Entity & Header Registration Requirements

Businesses sending commercial SMS and automated voice messages via Kommify must fulfill the following mandatory steps:

• Principal Entity (PE) Registration: Register your legal corporate entity with authorized telecom DLT portals (such as Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, BSNL/Vilpower).
• Sender Header (Sender ID) Approval: Register unique 6-character alphabetic headers for transactional, service-implicit, service-explicit, or promotional communications.
• Content Template Whitelisting: Submit and secure pre-approval for every message template, including designated variable parameters.
• Consent Template Registration: Maintain verifiably documented customer consent records for all promotional broadcasts.
